Yuga’s Art Gallery: Divine sculptures

Although the general consensus about Breath of the Wild’s Divine Beasts is that they were unsatisfying Zelda dungeons, no one can deny that their designs are awe-inspiring and leave lasting presences in the world of Hyrule. When I saw the incredible sculptures that GizmoForgemakes and sells of the four Divine Beasts on their Etsy store, it instantly renewed my appreciation for their intricate and…

Yuga’s Art Gallery: Impa cosplay

I’ve never been much for cosplay, but I cannot dismiss the talent put on display through these creative outfits. And sometimes, the skill catches me by surprise. That’s why I’m compelled to share this amazing depiction of Impa from Hyrule Warriors.

Also, to ignore this cosplay would be to disregard Impa. And even if she’s not a real person, I’m not bold enough to disrespect her like that.

Yuga’s Art Gallery: Knock on Deku wood

Living around the mountains in a small tourist town, it isn’t out of the ordinary to see wood carvings of the various fauna to some degree. One can easily spot a bear spawned from the massive trunk of a once living-and-thriving tree or even small carvings dedicated to remnants of the Native American heritage that thrives throughout the area. This had been the norm for what I considered wood…

Yuga’s Art Gallery: Waking from the dream

The hype that I have for the Link’s Awakening remake has been bottled up and it can no longer be contained. Every single screenshot, gameplay video, new feature, and everything else make me more and more excited. Link’s Awakening was, like for many I’d imagine, my first foray into the mostly wonderful world of handheld Zelda titles.

Yuga’s Art Gallery: Goku vs Link

How did someone take 90 percent of the life during the early 2000s and cram it into one image?

I never thought I’d see art like this, let alone discuss art like this in an article, but here I am. Artist Autobiotic has made something truly special here: Link and Goku squaring off at the start of what will surely be an intense action sequence.

As cool as this is, I can’t help but wonder why…

Yuga’s Art Gallery: Baby Sidon, doo doo doo-doo doo-doo

When Sidon first flashed his spectacular smile at us in Breath of the Wild, so many fan-girls (and fanboys; let’s not discriminate) collectively swooned. Looking more shark than Zora, Prince Sidon is definitely one of the more strapping Zoras, but before he grew old enough to flex his fins, he was also one of the cutest baby Zoras.

Yuga’s Art Gallery: Prinny of the Wild

Anyone who knows me well enough knows that one of my favorite game series is Disgaea. Obviously, The Legend of Zelda is a close second, or an equivalent. It’s to the point, however, that my entire online existence has strongly correlated to Disgaea. “LaharlKun” was even one of the first usernames. Back in 2004, it was a challenge to find anyone that knew about Disgaea, so I often had to explain…

Yuga’s Art Gallery: Sand Ambush

Legend of Zelda games are known for their amazing and rememberable boss fights, and The Wind Waker’s assortment of monsters certainly make the short list when it comes to best of the best.

The bosses of Wind Wakerare amazing spectacles that blend the game’s narrative, gameplay, and challenge into their intense encounters. While it is one of the last bosses to be fought, Molgera is without…

Yuga’s Art Gallery: Wind Waker Solid Snake mod (Happy World Snake Day!)

The Wind Waker is my favorite video game bar none. I’m a purist about it (I won’t even do speedruns of it), but the things fans can find to do with the game are always entertaining. Mods are some of the most notable examples, and AaronTheSnob’s reskin of Toon Link as Solid Snake hits the bullseye for what makes them fun.

I don’t do any modding, but the work AaronTheSnob put into this skin is…

Yuga’s Art Gallery: Getting the red stone

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Timeis a game all about larger-than-life moments. Meeting the Great Deku Tree, stepping out into Hyrule Field for the first time, and climbing Death Mountain are great examples of this, but in many ways, they pale in comparison to the intensity of the game’s bosses and the battles with them. An unparalleled danger stares Link in the face as he musters all of his…
